Batrider vs Phantom Assassin

How this matchup plays

Struggling to find a good Lasso target is at the core of this matchup. Phantom Assassin will almost always build a Black King Bar, and once she has it, Batrider can no longer control her during teamfights. This often forces Batrider to use Flaming Lasso on a less valuable support, leaving PA free to attack his team. Even before she gets that item, Phantom Assassin's ability to blink to a target makes it risky for Batrider to get in position, as she can easily turn and burst him down if he's caught wandering alone.

This dynamic creates a clear window where Batrider has to win the game. He and his team need to pressure Phantom Assassin relentlessly to delay her BKB timing. Successful early ganks can create a significant lead, but if the game goes even, PA will eventually hit her item timing and take over. At that point, she can fight without fear of being pulled out of position, and the pressure shifts back onto Batrider to somehow find a different way to impact the fight.
