Beastmaster vs Bounty Hunter

How this matchup plays

Picking one of these heroes into the other creates a constant battle over vision. Bounty Hunter needs to be unseen to find pickoffs and set up ganks with Shadow Walk, but Beastmaster's hawk provides persistent scouting that can completely expose his rotations. A well-placed hawk can make it impossible for Bounty Hunter to play his normal game, forcing him into predictable paths or inactivity. On the other hand, Track is an excellent answer to Beastmaster. It guarantees vision on him, preventing him from using his own summons as a distraction to set up a flank initiation with Primal Roar.

This standoff continues through the game. Early on, Bounty Hunter has to play around the hawk or commit resources to dewarding it, while Beastmaster’s team plays more safely knowing where the ganks might come from. Later, the fight often comes down to who gets the jump. If Bounty Hunter can find an opening and get Track on a key target, his team can snowball the fight. But if Beastmaster’s team catches Bounty Hunter out of position, or if Beastmaster can land a Primal Roar on an important hero before getting Tracked himself, the advantage flips completely. The matchup depends on which hero can better control information.
