Beastmaster is an aggressive offlaner whose Wild Axes and summoned Boar/Hawk dominate lanes, while Primal Roar provides a long single-target lockdown. He's strong into immobile heroes his summons and Roar pin: Timbersaw, Tinker and Nature's Prophet get ganked early. Beastmaster is countered by late scalers and AoE that clear his summons: Medusa out-scales hard, Dawnbreaker and Tidehunter clear his pets, and Bristleback shrugs off his harass. Draft tip: Beastmaster is a strong early-tempo + Roar pick into squishy drafts; close the game before late-scaling carries like Medusa take over.

Beastmaster's Primal Roar is a guaranteed single-target lock and his aura/summons amplify the team — he wants a carry who cashes in the Roar. He pairs best with burst and durable cores: Spectre and Wraith King delete whoever he Roars, while Dawnbreaker provides the front line. Give Beastmaster a hard-hitting follow-up and his Blink-Roar starts fights with a free kill.
