Beastmaster vs Death Prophet

How this matchup plays

Fighting into a Beastmaster's army can be a serious problem, but Death Prophet has the right tools for the job. Her Exorcism spirits make quick work of his zoo, and Crypt Swarm helps clear out the clutter. The spirits ignore the slow from the boars and can wear down Beastmaster from a safe distance. On the flip side, Primal Roar is one of the best ways to stop a Death Prophet. A long, piercing stun will lock her down and completely waste her ultimate. Her silence can be a minor nuisance, but it rarely stops Beastmaster's core plan.

This matchup often turns into a mid-game standoff. Both heroes want to group up and force objectives with their team, so it becomes a question of which side executes better. If Beastmaster's team can find and stun Death Prophet, they'll win the fight. If Death Prophet can kite the initiation and let her ghosts whittle everyone down, her team will take over. Since both heroes enable a similar "group and push" strategy, neither one gains a decisive edge over the other. The game is usually decided by which team better supports their hero's big ultimate timing.
