Beastmaster vs Disruptor

How this matchup plays

Committing on a single target with Primal Roar often feels awkward against a Disruptor. The entire plan for Beastmaster is to isolate someone and have his team collapse, but Disruptor's kit is built to punish exactly that. A quick Glimpse can send Beastmaster back to where he came from, breaking up the aggression before it even starts. If the team follows up on the Roar, they risk getting trapped together in a Kinetic Field and Static Storm, which can easily turn a planned gank into a lost teamfight. Disruptor makes the simple act of running at one hero very complicated.

This dynamic creates a bit of a stalemate across the map. Beastmaster has to play more cautiously, using his hawk to scout for Disruptor's position before committing his ultimate. A successful fight for him might mean finding and killing Disruptor first, or waiting until his key spells have been used on someone else. On the other side, a good Disruptor will stay hidden, waiting to counter-initiate. The game often comes down to which hero gets to dictate the engagement, and Disruptor has a slight advantage in turning Beastmaster's own aggression against him.
