Beastmaster vs Grimstroke

How this matchup plays

Picking Beastmaster into an enemy Grimstroke often feels like you're working uphill from the start. Grimstroke’s kit seems designed to dismantle what Beastmaster wants to do. Stroke of Fate easily clears the Boar and any other summons with a single cast, denying the vision and pressure Beastmaster needs to control the map. The bigger problem is Soulbind. Primal Roar is a tool for clean, single-target initiation, but Soulbind links that primary target to an ally. This completely ruins the pick-off, turning a potential gank into a messy teamfight where Beastmaster's team is often out of position.

This difficult interaction plays out at all stages of the game. In lane, Beastmaster can't build up pressure with his Boar. During mid-game fights, his desire to be on the frontline with his units makes him and his whole team a great target for Ink Swell. As a result, Beastmaster can't dictate the tempo. He's often forced into a reactive split-pushing role, trying to avoid direct fights. Meanwhile, Grimstroke can enable his team to group up and force objectives, knowing he holds the key to shutting down Beastmaster’s most impactful abilities.
