Beastmaster vs Lina

How this matchup plays

Clearing out summons from a safe distance is the main story here. Lina can use her spell combo to instantly remove Beastmaster's Boars and other units, which denies him a lot of his pushing power and lane pressure. This forces Beastmaster to play more passively than he wants to, as his primary tools for controlling the early and mid game are constantly being swept away. Lina gets to farm more freely and keep her distance, slowing down the tempo that Beastmaster needs to be effective.

The matchup stays conditional all game, though. While Lina is good at dealing with Beastmaster's army, she is very vulnerable to his initiation. A good Primal Roar setup, especially with a Blink Dagger, can lock her down and lead to an easy kill before she can get her spells off. The game often becomes a test of positioning: Lina wants to stay far back and poke from the edges of the fight, while Beastmaster is always looking for an opening to jump on her. This tension means neither hero has a guaranteed win.
