Beastmaster vs Muerta

How this matchup plays

Controlling the map often feels like a stalemate in this matchup. Beastmaster wants to build momentum by pushing down towers with his summons, but Muerta has the tools to consistently slow this down. Gunslinger gives her a good chance to clear out the boars and other units quickly, preventing Beastmaster from overwhelming a lane. This constant defensive clear can stop him from generating the early gold and map pressure he relies on. However, Muerta is not a mobile hero, and a well-timed Primal Roar is a death sentence if she's caught out of position, giving Beastmaster a way to punish her.

Fights become a tense standoff centered on key ultimates. Beastmaster’s team will always be looking for an opening to use Primal Roar on Muerta, locking her down for an easy kill before she can contribute. In response, Muerta's goal is to survive the initial burst and activate Pierce the Veil. Once she is ethereal, she's completely immune to the physical damage from Beastmaster and his entire army, allowing her to turn the fight around and pick his team apart. The outcome often depends on which hero can execute their plan first, leaving very little advantage for either side.
