Beastmaster vs Primal Beast

How this matchup plays

Clearing out the zoo is often the biggest hurdle against Beastmaster, but Primal Beast's Trample handles that job easily. It wipes out the boars and any dominated creeps, which neutralizes a lot of Beastmaster's tower pressure and teamfight damage. Primal Beast is also inherently tanky enough that the physical damage from the remaining units, or even from Wild Axes, isn't threatening. He can typically stand his ground and force a fight where other heroes would have to back off from the army.

This dynamic pushes the game in a direction Primal Beast prefers. Beastmaster wants to control territory and chip away at objectives, but Primal Beast can run at him, clear his summons, and turn it into a brawl. Beastmaster's main tool to answer this is his Primal Roar, which can interrupt an Onslaught charge or a Pulverize channel. Good hawk vision helps Beastmaster avoid these direct confrontations, but it puts the burden on him to play perfectly around Primal Beast's aggression.
