Beastmaster vs Puck

How this matchup plays

Locking down an elusive hero with a big point-and-click stun seems straightforward, but it's rarely that simple against Puck. While Primal Roar is a great tool for catching slippery targets, Puck has excellent ways to dodge the incoming projectile with Phase Shift or create instant distance with Illusory Orb. Beastmaster's summons can feel clumsy trying to chase and finish the kill. On the other side, Puck's silence from Waning Rift is a serious problem for Beastmaster, preventing him from casting his spells in a crucial moment. It’s a classic trade of reliable lockdown versus top-tier escape.

The matchup often becomes a game of cat and mouse centered on vision and initiation. With good vision from a Hawk, Beastmaster can find an opening to land a Roar and call his team to follow up. Without it, he's often casting into the fog at a target that's already gone. Puck plays a similar game, looking to bait out the Roar before committing with Dream Coil to punish Beastmaster and his units. Both heroes want to set up fights for their team rather than man-fighting each other, which means the better draft and team coordination will usually decide who comes out ahead.
