Beastmaster vs Ursa

How this matchup plays

Fighting over map objectives often pits these two heroes against each other directly. Ursa's entire game plan is to run at a priority target and tear it apart, and Beastmaster is a tempting one. However, Beastmaster's summons provide a lot of bodies to block Ursa's path, and the Boar's slow can make it difficult for him to stick to his target. Ursa can purge that slow with Enrage, but the core of the matchup is a test of initiation. If Ursa gets the jump, Beastmaster has few ways to escape the burst. If Beastmaster sees it coming, Primal Roar can lock Ursa down for an easy kill.

This dynamic creates a constant back-and-forth where vision and positioning decide the winner. Beastmaster wants to use his Hawk for vision, safely push towers with his army, and only commit Primal Roar when Ursa is out of position. Ursa, on the other hand, wants to avoid that vision, force fights in tight spaces where he can't be kited, and have his finger on Enrage to survive the initial lockdown. The fight often comes down to whether Beastmaster can land his stun and have his team follow up before Ursa can press his own ultimate and turn the tables.
