How this matchup plays

A Primal Roar on Weaver feels like it should be a guaranteed kill, but the reality is more complicated. The stun has a travel time, giving a quick Weaver a window to use Time Lapse and dodge it entirely. Even if it connects, he can often survive the initial burst and undo the damage. Shukuchi allows Weaver to easily reposition against Beastmaster’s summons, slipping past the boar's slow and avoiding vision from the hawk. While a well-timed catch can delete Weaver, he has all the tools to make that catch incredibly difficult, turning a supposed counter into a duel of reflexes.

The matchup often comes down to which hero’s team better enables their plan. Beastmaster needs allies with instant follow-up lockdown to chain with his Roar, preventing Weaver from escaping. He excels at setting up kills on a static map. Weaver, however, thrives in chaotic fights and by split-pushing, forcing rotations and creating space. If Beastmaster and his team can force a five-on-five engagement, they have a good chance. If Weaver can dictate the pace and pick his own fights, he can run circles around Beastmaster’s game plan. The outcome is less about the heroes themselves and more about the drafts around them.
