Bloodseeker vs Mars

How this matchup plays

Using Arena of Blood becomes a huge liability when Bloodseeker is on the other team. Mars wants to reposition inside his ultimate to spear opponents into the walls, but Rupture punishes any movement with heavy damage. This forces Mars to either stand still and be useless or move and kill himself. The damage from Rupture is also not reduced by Mars's Bulwark, making it an incredibly efficient way to burn through his health pool. Once he's wounded, Bloodseeker's Thirst gives vision and movement speed to finish the job, leaving Mars with few options to escape.

This matchup puts a timer on Mars. The laning stage might be even, but once Bloodseeker gets his ultimate, Mars becomes a primary target all over the map. He can’t split push or join rotations safely. In teamfights, Bloodseeker can cast Rupture on Mars right as a fight breaks out, effectively neutralizing him before he can initiate. To have any impact, Mars is forced to rush a Black King Bar, often delaying the Blink Dagger he needs to start fights. Bloodseeker, meanwhile, can itemize freely and control the game's tempo.
