Bounty Hunter vs Rubick

How this matchup plays

Casting Track near a Rubick is always a risk. It's one of the best spells in the game for him to take with Spell Steal, completely turning Bounty Hunter's greatest strength against his own team. The vision and gold swing can be devastating. At the same time, Bounty Hunter exists to find and eliminate squishy, high-impact supports, and Rubick is the perfect example of that. A successful gank from Shadow Walk can take Rubick out of a fight before he can use his powerful disables or steal a key ultimate, securing an objective or winning a teamfight outright.

This tension defines the matchup at all stages. Bounty Hunter wants to play aggressively, get in close, and burst Rubick down. Rubick, however, can punish this aggression. A well-timed Telekinesis can leave an overextended Bounty Hunter stranded and waiting to die, while Fade Bolt reduces his physical damage output, making it harder for him to secure kills. The game often comes down to positioning and mind games: Bounty Hunter trying to bait out spells before committing, and Rubick trying to bait the Track for a clean steal.
