Bounty Hunter vs Sniper

How this matchup plays

Thinking that Bounty Hunter is a free win against Sniper is a common mistake. On paper, Shadow Walk lets Bounty Hunter get close for a big Jinada hit, and Track keeps Sniper visible. But a good Sniper player won't make it that easy. He can use Shrapnel to create a slowing field that makes approaching dangerous, even while invisible. If Bounty Hunter does manage to get on top of him, Concussive Grenade or a well-timed Hurricane Pike can instantly create the distance Sniper needs to survive and start shooting back. The fight isn't about the first hit, it's about controlling the space between them.

During the laning stage, Bounty Hunter's rotations can be a real problem for a mid or safelane Sniper. As the game goes on, though, the dynamic shifts. It becomes a game of vision and positioning. Bounty Hunter wants to find Sniper isolated for a quick kill, leveraging Track to build a gold lead for his team. Sniper, on the other hand, wants to stay grouped with his supports, using their vision and disables to create a safe zone to attack from. The winner is often decided by which team better enables their hero's preferred strategy.
