Bounty Hunter vs Windranger

How this matchup plays

Picking Windranger often means relying on `Windrun` to escape bad situations, but Bounty Hunter makes that escape much harder. The vision from `Track` is the key problem. It prevents Windranger from using her speed boost to juke into the trees or break line of sight, which is her primary way of surviving after activating `Windrun`. While she's still immune to physical attacks during its effect, being constantly visible allows Bounty Hunter's team to coordinate stuns and magical burst to finish her off. This forces her to play far more defensively when he's off the map.

Throughout the game, this dynamic makes Windranger a more fragile, high-priority target. Bounty Hunter will look to apply `Track` early in skirmishes to neutralize her escape potential before she can even act. To play around this, Windranger needs to position near her teammates for support or change her item build to include a way to survive the initial lockdown. The matchup isn't completely one-sided, however. Bounty Hunter is a squishy hero, and if Windranger can land a `Shackleshot`, she can often turn and kill him with `Focus Fire` before `Track` even becomes a factor.
