Broodmother vs Lina

How this matchup plays

Thinking you can simply clear out Broodmother's army with spells is a common trap. While Lina does have strong area-of-effect damage with Dragon Slave and Light Strike Array, it’s not always enough. A smart Broodmother plays around cooldowns, using the massive regeneration and speed from her webs to sustain through the harass. She can often create spiders faster than Lina can afford to clear them with her mana pool early on. This turns the lane into a careful resource battle rather than a simple wave-clear exercise for Lina.

The game often hinges on who gets the first major advantage. If Broodmother secures a kill or forces Lina out of lane, she can quickly snowball, taking the tower and dominating that side of the map. Conversely, if Lina hits her level timings and a bit of farm, her Laguna Blade can instantly delete Broodmother from a fight. The matchup is a constant knife's edge, where one misstep by either player can decide the lane and set the tempo for the mid-game. It’s a true test of laning skill more than a pre-determined outcome.
