Broodmother vs Wraith King

How this matchup plays

Trying to overwhelm Wraith King with a spider army often backfires. He doesn't need big area-of-effect spells because his skeletons from Mortal Strike provide constant pressure back onto the spiderlings, and a lucky proc can instantly clear a big one. For Broodmother herself, Wraithfire Blast is a reliable stun that sets up an easy kill, preventing her from escaping into her webs. He's also naturally durable, making it difficult for her to secure a solo kill even with Insatiable Hunger, especially since he has his own lifesteal.

This means Broodmother can’t dominate her lane and the mid-game as easily as she wants. While she can still apply pressure elsewhere, Wraith King can often hold a lane against her push by himself once he has a few levels. His Reincarnation is the real problem; it forces Brood to commit everything to kill him once, and then he comes back to life while her team is collapsing. Broodmother has to play a faster game, avoiding direct confrontation with him and picking off his allies. If the game goes long, Wraith King's scaling tends to give his team the upper hand.
