Broodmother vs Skywrath Mage

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst down Broodmother can feel straightforward for a Skywrath Mage. His silence amplifies all the magic damage she takes, and a full combo is often enough to kill her if she is caught isolated. The problem is, she is rarely isolated. Broodmother's spiderlings are a huge threat to a fragile hero like Skywrath. They can body block him, surround him, and kill him very quickly, especially if he has no way to create distance. Skywrath has excellent tools for killing the main hero, but he has very few answers for her army once it's on top of him.

The whole matchup becomes a game of cat and mouse. A successful Broodmother will use her webs for vision and map control, making it dangerous for Skywrath Mage to ward or rotate alone. She will try to overwhelm him and his allies with constant pressure from her spiders. In response, the Skywrath player needs good positioning and support from his team to provide vision and lockdown. He excels at punishing a Broodmother who overextends or gets caught out of her web network. The fight is often decided by who finds who first, and under what circumstances.
