Broodmother vs Slardar

How this matchup plays

Trying to split push as Broodmother feels impossible when a Slardar is on the other team. Broodmother's entire game plan relies on the invisibility and freedom of movement she gets inside her Spin Webs, but Slardar's Corrosive Haze provides true sight on her. This completely negates her main survival tool. Beyond that, Slithereen Crush is a perfect area-of-effect stun for clearing out clumps of spiderlings, gutting her damage output and farming speed. The armor reduction from his ultimate makes her, and her entire spider army, extremely fragile.

This forces Broodmother into a reactive and defensive posture from the mid-game onward. She can't safely pressure lanes or farm deep in enemy territory because Slardar can initiate on her so effectively, especially once he has a Blink Dagger. Broodmother is often forced to group up with her team much earlier than she'd like, which slows down her farm and prevents her from creating the map-wide pressure she excels at. Her only option is to try and avoid him, but Corrosive Haze makes that a difficult task for the rest of the game.
