Pushing a lane by yourself feels like a death sentence against this hero. Broodmother relies on her webs for safety and mobility, but Spirit Breaker’s Charge of Darkness completely ignores that entire mechanic. It gives vision of her, follows her through any terrain, and brings a stun right to her face. Once he arrives, his stuns and high status resistance allow him to ignore the spiderling swarm and finish the job. He is perfectly equipped to find and kill a hero who wants to live in a corner of the map.

This dynamic defines the entire game. Broodmother can never feel safe enough to establish the map control she needs to win. From the laning stage onward, the constant threat of a charge forces her to play defensively and group with her team. This nullifies her core strength of being a solo tower-pusher and objective-taker. Unless the Broodmother's team is far ahead, Spirit Breaker can consistently shut down her game plan by simply showing up from across the map whenever she tries to do her job.
