Broodmother vs Techies

How this matchup plays

Picking Broodmother early is a huge risk if Techies is still available. The core of Broodmother's game is overwhelming a section of the map with her webs and an army of spiderlings. Techies, however, specializes in area-of-effect damage that is perfectly suited to clearing out these low-health units. A single Proximity Mine can destroy an entire group of spiders, wiping out Broodmother’s farming speed and pushing power while giving away a huge gold bounty. Her main strength becomes a significant liability.

This dynamic forces the Broodmother player into a terrible position from the start. The areas she wants to control are exactly where Techies wants to place his mines, turning her own jungle or lane into a death trap. She has to spend all her time and attention carefully clearing mines instead of applying pressure. This gives the Techies and his team complete map control, as he can defend territory effortlessly while Broodmother is effectively neutralized and unable to execute her game plan.
