Centaur Warrunner vs Clinkz

How this matchup plays

A surprise attack from Clinkz usually spells death for his target, but Centaur Warrunner presents a unique problem. Centaur’s massive health pool means he can often survive the initial assault. If he activates Retaliate, Clinkz risks taking heavy damage from his own high-speed attacks, turning the gank against him. However, Centaur has a very hard time actually punishing this. The moment he is in danger, Clinkz can use his invisibility to slip away and reset the engagement from a safe distance, leaving Centaur with no way to finish the kill.

The game often becomes a strategic dance. Clinkz learns to ignore Centaur entirely, instead preying on more fragile allies across the map. Centaur's role then shifts to protecting his team, using Stampede as a global save or a Blink Dagger and Hoof Stomp to try and catch Clinkz out of position. This makes the matchup less about a direct confrontation and more about which hero better enables their team's overall plan. Clinkz wants to create chaos with pick-offs, while Centaur wants to force grouped teamfights where his durability is most effective.
