Centaur Warrunner vs Lifestealer

How this matchup plays

Hitting a hero with a massive health pool is exactly what Lifestealer wants to be doing, and Centaur Warrunner offers one of the biggest. Feast lets Lifestealer deal damage and heal based on his target’s current life, turning Centaur's signature durability into a weakness. If Centaur tries to use Hoof Stomp to create space or interrupt, Lifestealer can simply activate Rage to become magic immune and continue his assault uninterrupted. This fundamental interaction makes a direct confrontation very difficult for Centaur.

Early on, this dynamic allows Lifestealer to trade favorably and sustain in lane against Centaur. Later in the game, Centaur’s typical plan of blinking in to initiate is severely undermined. Lifestealer can either ignore the Hoof Stomp entirely or use Centaur as a personal health battery once the fight begins. Centaur's best strategy is often to use Stampede to help his team kite away or focus a different target, as he simply cannot win a one-on-one fight against a Lifestealer who is built to dismantle him.
