Centaur Warrunner vs Rubick

How this matchup plays

Trying to initiate as Centaur Warrunner against a Rubick is a constant risk. Both Hoof Stomp and Stampede are game-changing spells that Rubick would love to get his hands on, giving his team either a powerful stun or a global escape and chase tool. This forces the Centaur player to think twice before every cast. He might try to use Double Edge last to bait out Spell Steal, but in a chaotic teamfight, that's not always an option. A simple, powerful plan becomes a dangerous mind game.

This dynamic makes fights incredibly dependent on timing and positioning. If Centaur can use Stampede to close the distance and burst Rubick down quickly, the threat is neutralized. But if Rubick survives the initial moments of a fight, he can steal a key spell and completely turn the tables. A stolen Stampede can reverse a gank, while a stolen Hoof Stomp adds another layer of control for his team.
