Centaur Warrunner vs Storm Spirit

How this matchup plays

Jumping a backline hero often leaves Storm Spirit right next to Centaur Warrunner, which is a bad place to be. Storm wants to burst a target and escape, but Centaur is too durable to be a primary target and punishes dives on his allies. A well-timed Hoof Stomp can catch Storm at the end of his zip, holding him in place to be focused down. Even if Storm initiates with his own lockdown, pulling a hero with Centaur’s health pool and damage return closer is rarely a winning move.

This forces Storm Spirit to play with more caution. He can't simply go on the first hero he sees and must instead wait for Centaur to use his stun or be out of position. Centaur’s job becomes staying close to his vulnerable teammates, acting as a bodyguard who makes the initiation too risky. While a patient Storm can still find openings by splitting the map or waiting for a chaotic fight, this constant threat from Centaur Warrunner limits his options and slows down his game.
