Centaur Warrunner vs Void Spirit

How this matchup plays

Facing a Centaur Warrunner means Void Spirit has to pick his targets with care. The high health pool and Retaliate passive make Centaur an awful target for Void Spirit's spell-based burst combo; trying to kill him often results in taking significant damage in return. On the other hand, Centaur has a very difficult time pinning down his slippery opponent. Void Spirit can easily use Dissimilate to dodge Hoof Stomp or use his remnants to escape a Stampede initiation. Each hero effectively negates the other's primary strengths, leading to a stalemate where neither can easily secure a solo kill on the other.
