Deciding between these two carries often comes down to a question of single-target burst versus area-of-effect damage. Luna’s Moon Glaives are a natural answer to Chaos Knight’s Phantasm, clearing his illusions quickly and exposing the real hero. This neutralizes his primary tool for overwhelming a target. On the other hand, Chaos Knight excels at isolating and eliminating one hero from a fight. If he can catch Luna with Reality Rift, his burst damage combined with a Chaos Bolt can be enough to kill her before she can react or her glaives can do their work.

The outcome of a game between them usually hinges on positioning and timing. A well-positioned Luna can stay safe in the backline, letting her glaives whittle down the Chaos Knight army. Chaos Knight's goal is the opposite: find an angle to get on top of Luna, often with a Blink Dagger, to bypass her teammates and her superior teamfight clear.
