Chaos Knight vs Razor

How this matchup plays

Trying to use Static Link against Chaos Knight is often a losing bet. The spell is designed to drain one hero's damage, but Phantasm presents multiple targets that are difficult to distinguish in a chaotic fight. If Razor links an illusion, his most important spell is wasted. If he links the real Chaos Knight, the illusions are unaffected and will continue to attack with full power, often finishing Razor off before the damage drain becomes meaningful. Reality Rift also pulls Razor out of position, making it difficult for him to kite.

This dynamic means the matchup changes over the course of the game. In the early laning phase, Razor can often bully Chaos Knight and control the farm. Once Chaos Knight has Phantasm, however, he can actively hunt Razor. The fight comes down to whether CK can find and burst Razor before the Static Link can turn the tide. Razor will typically build items for survivability and escape to counter this, while CK looks for opportunities to close the gap and use his illusion advantage to secure a quick kill.
