How this matchup plays

Slowing down a Storm Spirit often comes down to reliable, targeted lockdown, which is something Chaos Knight provides. Storm relies on zipping around teamfights with Ball Lightning, but CK's Reality Rift can pull him out of position for a follow-up Chaos Bolt. This threat of instant initiation is hard for Storm to play around without specific items. While Chaos Knight isn't particularly mobile himself and needs to get close, his ability to force a reaction from Storm Spirit with point-and-click abilities can disrupt his typical in-and-out playstyle.

This dynamic can make the mid-game awkward for Storm Spirit. He may be forced to build defensively earlier than he'd like or play on the opposite side of the map from Chaos Knight, ceding territory.
