How this matchup plays

Drafting Chen into a potential Lifestealer is a major risk. The core of Chen’s game, building an army to control the map, gets turned into a liability. Lifestealer sees those high-health converted creeps not as a threat, but as a personal gold and health farm thanks to Feast. He can use Rage to ignore Penitence and any control from the creeps, letting him run straight at Chen or his allies. This completely neuters Chen’s early pressure timings and instead accelerates Lifestealer’s own farm. Without a threatening army, Chen can’t force objectives or create space, leaving him feeling pretty useless while actively feeding his own counter.
