Clinkz vs Earthshaker

How this matchup plays

Forcing an enemy to constantly buy detection slows down their game. Clinkz can move around the map invisibly, looking to find and burst down a solo hero. Earthshaker is often that solo hero, moving between lanes or jungle camps. While Earthshaker has a powerful stun chain, it's hard to use it defensively when you get attacked from stealth. Clinkz can often get his full damage off before Fissure or other stuns can lock him down. He dictates the start of the fight, which is a natural advantage against a hero who excels at counter-initiation.

This pressure continues throughout the game. Clinkz can make it dangerous for Earthshaker to establish vision or set up ganks, delaying key items like a Blink Dagger. During teamfights, Clinkz can lurk on the edges, waiting for Earthshaker to commit his Echo Slam before going on the kill. Earthshaker's success depends on surviving that initial burst, either through smart positioning near his allies or with items like a Force Staff or Ghost Scepter. If he can land his spells, he still wins the fight, but Clinkz makes it difficult for him to get there.
