Clinkz vs Hoodwink

How this matchup plays

Trying to pick off a support from invisibility often puts Clinkz right in Hoodwink’s crosshairs. Both heroes are fragile and excel at bursting targets from a safe distance, creating a duel where the first one to get disabled usually dies. Clinkz can find Hoodwink and channel Burning Barrage, but she is very good at playing around trees. A well-placed Acorn Shot can create the setup she needs for a Bushwhack stun, completely turning the gank around. Scurry’s evasion can also cause a lot of problems for Clinkz's physical attacks if he doesn't have a way to deal with it.

This matchup revolves heavily on vision and positioning. Clinkz wants to force fights in open lanes where Hoodwink has no trees to use for her stun or her escape. Hoodwink, in turn, wants to stay near the treeline, making any approach from Clinkz a risky gamble. Because both heroes can kill each other so quickly, the outcome of any fight between them often comes down to which player has better map awareness and gets the jump on the other, making it a true coin flip from the laning stage to the late game.
