Clinkz vs Phoenix

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst Phoenix as Clinkz seems like the obvious plan, but it's a risky exchange. While Clinkz has the damage to kill Phoenix quickly, Phoenix has multiple tools to survive the initial assault. A well-timed Icarus Dive can create enough space to get away, and the attack speed slow from Fire Spirits can ruin Clinkz’s ability to finish the job. If Phoenix can survive long enough to use Supernova, the situation flips entirely. Clinkz often lacks the sustained damage and health to take down the egg by himself while getting burned, forcing him to retreat.

This dynamic creates a constant mind game. Clinkz has to be careful about which fights he picks, often needing a silence or a stun from a teammate to guarantee a kill on Phoenix. In larger teamfights, Phoenix will try to position himself to bait Clinkz, knowing that Supernova can turn an aggressive gank into a teamfight win. As a result, the Clinkz player learns to be patient, often ignoring Phoenix to pick off a more fragile support first, waiting for a better opportunity to deal with the egg when it's safe to do so.
