Clinkz vs Silencer

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst a target from invisibility is how Clinkz takes over the map. Silencer directly interferes with this plan. A well-timed Global Silence as Clinkz breaks stealth can prevent him from using his full damage combo or any items like an Orchid or Scythe. This leaves Clinkz stranded and vulnerable after his initial attack. Even Last Word can be a nuisance, silencing Clinkz right as he tries to cast a spell to start his assault. It creates a small but crucial window for a target to survive the initial burst and for their team to turn on him.

This dynamic forces the Clinkz player to be more cautious throughout the game. A smart Silencer will often hold his ultimate specifically to counter Clinkz's initiations in teamfights. Clinkz has to respect this, either by waiting for Global Silence to be used on an ally or by trying to bait it out before committing to a kill. The ultimate has a long cooldown, so Clinkz will find opportunities to strike. The constant threat, however, makes his primary job of deleting a key enemy hero noticeably less reliable.
