Crystal Maiden vs Enigma

How this matchup plays

Trying to channel a Black Hole with a Crystal Maiden on the enemy team is a tense experience. Her Frostbite is a fast, reliable way to cancel your biggest spell from a safe distance, often turning a game-winning play into a disaster. On the other hand, Enigma has his own way to shut down CM. Malefice is an equally effective tool for stopping a Freezing Field, and since Crystal Maiden is so fragile and slow, she's an easy first target for Enigma to jump on and burst down before the real fight even starts. This creates a true cat-and-mouse dynamic.

The matchup often comes down to who gets the jump first. Early on, Crystal Maiden can make laning difficult for Enigma, slowing his Eidolons and threatening kills with her disables. Later, teamfights revolve around vision control and positioning. Enigma will try to find and eliminate CM before committing Black Hole, while CM's team will work to keep her safe in the back lines, waiting to counter-initiate. Once either hero gets a Black King Bar, they can ignore the other's control, so the advantage can swing back and forth based purely on item timings and initiation.
