Enigma is a teamfight-defining initiator whose Black Hole — a channeled AoE disable — wins fights outright, backed by Eidolon push and Midnight Pulse damage. He's strong into clumped, immobile heroes: Tinker, Timbersaw and Mars get swallowed by a Blink-Black Hole. Enigma is countered by scalers and BKB/break that survive his ult: Spectre out-scales and ignores the channel timing, Wraith King out-tanks, and Bristleback shrugs off Midnight Pulse. Draft tip: Enigma is a game-ending pick into grouped, BKB-light drafts; he's far weaker into spread-out, magic-immune, or break-heavy teams.

Enigma synergies
Enigma's Black Hole is the ultimate AoE setup — he wants every nuker and cleave carry stacked behind it. He pairs best with follow-up AoE damage: Wraith King and Spectre crash into the Hole for a 5-man wipe, while Lifestealer and Phoenix cleave and burn everything trapped. Tidehunter stacks Ravage with Black Hole for an unbreakable lock. Give Enigma any AoE follow-up and one good Black Hole simply ends the game.
