Crystal Maiden vs Juggernaut

How this matchup plays

Picking Crystal Maiden often forces you to consider if Juggernaut is still in the pool. It’s a strange matchup because while they work great together, they are a nightmare for each other. Juggernaut’s Blade Fury dispels Frostbite and makes him immune to Freezing Field, giving him a direct answer to both of Crystal Maiden's primary spells. He can simply spin on top of her during her ultimate and kill her. On top of that, her low health pool makes her a prime target for Omnislash from the mid-game onwards.

This dynamic shapes how Crystal Maiden has to play the entire game. In lane, her gank attempts are easily thwarted by a well-timed spin. In teamfights, she has to wait for Juggernaut to commit Blade Fury before she can even think about channeling her ultimate. A good Juggernaut player will often hold his spin specifically for her, forcing the CM to rely on her team’s stuns to create an opening. It puts all the pressure on the Crystal Maiden to position perfectly and bait cooldowns, while the Juggernaut has a simple, effective plan.
