Dark Seer vs Windranger

How this matchup plays

Trying to lock down a target with Shackleshot and Focus Fire gets complicated by Dark Seer's kit. His Surge can often give your target enough speed to break the tether or escape before the damage is done. Windrun's evasion is also irrelevant against Ion Shell, meaning Windranger can't ignore the constant damage just by being evasive. However, a well-placed Shackle on Dark Seer himself can stop him from saving anyone, which turns the tables completely and lets Windranger get her kill.

The dynamic often results in a standoff across the map. Dark Seer pushes the lane, and Windranger safely farms it from afar with Powershot. Later on, teamfights depend heavily on initiation. If Windranger gets a clean jump on a core, Dark Seer's saves might not be enough. If Dark Seer lands a good Vacuum, Windranger is fragile and easily deleted. Wall of Replica is a huge problem for her, as a Focus Firing Windranger creates a powerful illusion that can turn on her own team.
