Dark Willow vs Spectre

How this matchup plays

Farming the map or placing deep wards becomes incredibly dangerous for Dark Willow once Spectre gets her ultimate. Haunt allows Spectre to punish any solo movement from across the map, instantly appearing next to her target. Willow's main defensive tool, Shadow Realm, offers little safety here; the Haunt illusion is already on top of her, and Spectre can commit fully the moment she reappears. Even if Willow tries to fight back with Bedlam, Spectre’s natural tankiness from Dispersion soaks up most of the magic damage, leaving her free to finish the job.

The dynamic shifts heavily once Spectre hits her first major timing. Dark Willow can have an okay time in the lane, but from the mid-game on, she's a primary target. Her survival depends entirely on sticking with her team and using Terrorize reactively to create space when Spectre jumps in. Spectre’s game plan is straightforward: farm until Haunt is available, then use it to pick off a vulnerable backliner like Willow to start a fight or secure an objective. A Ghost Scepter is mandatory for Willow, but it's a constant race against Spectre's ever-increasing damage.
