Getting jumped by a solo Doom feels a lot less scary with a Dawnbreaker on your team. The whole point of Doom's ultimate is to isolate and delete a hero, but Dawnbreaker's Solar Guardian is a direct answer to that. She can target the Doomed ally from anywhere on the map, providing a burst of healing that can keep them alive. When she lands, the stun and damage completely turn the gank attempt around. It effectively gives her whole team a safety net against Doom's most important spell, which is a huge problem for him.

This dynamic forces the Doom player into a difficult position all game. Using Doom on any hero other than Dawnbreaker herself is a massive risk, as it basically invites her to fly in and start a fight on her own terms. The ideal play for Doom is to catch Dawnbreaker first, but she's naturally durable and can be hard to bring down quickly.
