Dawnbreaker vs Lich

How this matchup plays

Jumping the backline seems like a mistake when Lich is there, but it's not a clear win for him against Dawnbreaker. While her Solar Guardian can group her team up perfectly for a Chain Frost, Dawnbreaker's own durability and the healing from her passive often let her survive the initial burst. Frost Shield is a problem, slowing her swings and reducing damage, but it doesn’t stop Starbreaker from connecting. The result is a standoff; Lich makes her initiation messy and dangerous, but he can't fully prevent her from doing her job, and she can't easily run him over.

This tension means fights are all about timing and targets. A good Lich will hold his spells, waiting for Dawnbreaker to commit before using Sinister Gaze to lock her down. On the other side, Dawnbreaker has to be patient. She might wait for Lich to use his ultimate on someone else before she dives, or simply build a Black King Bar to ignore his slows and control entirely. It forces both players to think about the other's cooldowns and positioning, and a mistake from either one can decide the teamfight.
