Using Rage to shrug off the stun from Starbreaker lets Lifestealer stay on target and trade hits, which is exactly where he wants to be. This turns the duel into a pure damage race. While Lifestealer’s lifesteal is powerful, Dawnbreaker is naturally tanky and has her own sustain from Luminosity. She can often survive his assault by creating space with Celestial Hammer and waiting for his magic immunity to end. The result is an exchange where neither hero has a clear upper hand; one relies on a short window of aggression, and the other on outlasting it.

This standoff forces both heroes to play around each other's timings all game. Lifestealer wants to force direct man-fights whenever Rage is available, looking to burst a target before they can react.
