How this matchup plays

Controlling the map against a Luna often feels like a losing battle, but Dawnbreaker changes that tempo. Luna wants to push out lanes with Moon Glaives and accelerate her farm, which naturally spreads her team out. This plays directly into Dawnbreaker's hands, as Solar Guardian can turn any gank attempt into a successful kill on the otherwise isolated Luna. In direct confrontations, Dawnbreaker can also close the gap with Celestial Hammer, disrupting Luna's positioning. She's tanky enough to survive the initial magic burst and is a serious threat once she gets on top of a fragile carry like Luna.

This pressure forces Luna to play more cautiously through the mid-game, slowing down the farm she needs to come online. Her team has to stay grouped to protect her, ceding map control and objective timers to the Dawnbreaker's side.
