Dawnbreaker vs Magnus

How this matchup plays

Landing a big Reverse Polarity is Magnus's entire goal. He wants to pull key heroes together for his team to burst down. Dawnbreaker's Solar Guardian is a direct answer to this plan, letting her fly in to stun and heal her teammates right inside Magnus's signature spell. This often turns his perfect setup into a disaster. On a smaller scale, Dawnbreaker can also use the stun from Starbreaker to interrupt a Skewer, preventing Magnus from isolating a target or escaping danger. Her kit feels tailor-made to shut down his core functions.

This dynamic puts the Magnus player in a tough spot. He can't confidently use Reverse Polarity unless he knows where Dawnbreaker is, or unless he catches her in it. Even then, she's durable enough to often survive the initial damage and turn the fight around. Dawnbreaker, meanwhile, gets to apply pressure across the map, forcing reactions and joining fights with her global presence. She controls the tempo of the game, while Magnus is forced to play a much more reactive and hesitant style, severely limiting his impact on teamfights.
