Dawnbreaker vs Morphling

How this matchup plays

Trying to play as Morphling against Dawnbreaker feels like walking on a tightrope. He needs to shift to agility to do damage, but that leaves him with a tiny health pool. This makes him a perfect target for Dawnbreaker's Starbreaker combo, which delivers a stun and a large amount of magic burst all at once. Celestial Hammer can also be used to slow him down, making escape difficult. Dawnbreaker is naturally durable enough that Morphling can't easily fight back, leaving him with few good options once she closes the distance.

This pressure starts early and rarely lets up. Dawnbreaker can control the tempo of the game, either by winning her own lane or using Solar Guardian to join fights and punish Morphling's aggression anywhere on the map. A Morphling wants to find isolated targets and snowball, but Dawnbreaker’s global presence denies him those opportunities. The goal for Morphling is to farm a BKB and other key items to survive the initial burst, while Dawnbreaker's team works to end the game before he can come online.
