How this matchup plays

Getting caught out of position is the main fear for a Sniper player, and Dawnbreaker excels at punishing that. Her ability to throw her hammer and pull herself to it can close a huge gap instantly, leaving Sniper with very little time to react. Once she's on him, her durability and damage are often too much for him to handle alone. Even when Sniper is grouped with his team, Dawnbreaker's global ultimate, Solar Guardian, can turn a safe fight into a disaster by landing directly on his head and stunning him.

This pressure forces Sniper to play defensively and rely heavily on his team for protection and vision. He needs items like Force Staff or Blink Dagger earlier than he might want, which can slow down his damage progression. A good Dawnbreaker will constantly look for opportunities to jump the back lines whenever a fight breaks out, making Sniper's life difficult. However, if Sniper's team is good at peeling and he can maintain distance, he can still contribute significant damage, which keeps the matchup from being completely one-sided.
