How this matchup plays

The choice to pick one of these heroes into the other often hinges on which global ultimate you want controlling the map. Dawnbreaker can use Solar Guardian to turn around a gank anywhere, directly countering the pickoff-heavy style that Spectre wants to play with Haunt. On the other hand, Spectre's Dispersion is a perfect answer to Dawnbreaker's full Starbreaker combo, reflecting a lot of damage back at her. Both heroes are incredibly durable but in different ways, creating a head-to-head fight where neither has a clear, built-in advantage over the other.
