Dawnbreaker vs Templar Assassin

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst a target as Templar Assassin becomes incredibly difficult when Dawnbreaker is involved. Dawnbreaker’s abilities are designed to hit multiple times in quick succession. Starbreaker lands several hits around her, and Celestial Hammer leaves a trail of fire that rapidly eats through defensive layers. This means Templar Assassin’s Refraction charges are stripped away almost instantly, leaving her completely exposed long before she can secure a kill. The very thing Templar Assassin relies on to survive and trade is directly countered by the way Dawnbreaker deals her damage.

This dynamic forces the Templar Assassin player to be extremely cautious. It's not safe to commit to a gank when Dawnbreaker can easily turn the fight with her spells. Even from across the map, the threat of Solar Guardian means a seemingly easy kill can quickly become a losing fight. To compensate, Templar Assassin has to either avoid fighting near Dawnbreaker entirely or rush defensive items that slow down her own tempo. Meanwhile, Dawnbreaker can play her normal game, confident that she has a built-in solution to one of the enemy's biggest threats.
