Dawnbreaker vs Venomancer

How this matchup plays

Getting run at by Dawnbreaker is a nightmare for Venomancer. His entire plan revolves around slowing enemies and letting poisons do the work from a safe distance, but Dawnbreaker closes that gap instantly with Celestial Hammer. Once she's on top of him, she can hold him in place with Starbreaker and quickly finish the job. Even if Venomancer manages to apply his poisons, Dawnbreaker’s passive healing from Luminosity can offset a good amount of the damage over time, making his harassment feel weak and ineffective during the laning stage and in early fights.

This dynamic forces Venomancer to play scared for the whole game. Pushing out lanes or placing deep Plague Wards is incredibly risky, as Dawnbreaker can use Solar Guardian to drop in from anywhere for an easy kill. In larger teamfights, Dawnbreaker has a simple objective: dive the back line and eliminate Venomancer. He lacks the survivability or escape tools to handle this direct assault, and his death removes a major source of sustained damage and slows for his team, often crippling their ability to win a prolonged engagement.
